The contestants were gathered at 10 am this morning to hear the results.

The Associação dos Acordeonistas do Brasil on the proposal of President of the Jury had decided to have the marking of the competitors follow the CIA Coupe Mondiale guidelines;
- up to 25 marks for each competitor.
- no discussion amongst the jury about the competitors.
- to have a jury meeting after the first three competitors for which the marks are collated to show the jury the high, low and average mark for each competitor, but no discussion without any discussion.
- the marks of all the jury members to be published.

Results

Each contestant was given the marks sheet and their certificate. If you click the link you can get the pdf results sheet for all the competitors.

The top eight competitors were invited to perform at the Prize Giving concert this evening. Starring at the concert is Mirco Patarini and Paolo Gandolfi of Italy who have both made many concert tours to Brazil. The hall is fully booked showing the strong interest in the accordion and accordion music by the people of Jaú City and Brazil and the excellent publicity of the first accordion competition by the Associação dos Acordeonistas do Brasil.

The Prize Giving concert is also being attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Jaú City and other important local identities

The video streaming computer controller. The results announcement was live on internet by streaming video.	On stage was the little camera that recorded the on stage action.
The certificate for the Winner was made in the offices just before the event.	Angelica Sobrinh and Mirco Patarini after completing printing the results for the competitors. We then went to the hall for the Results Presentation.

Prize Giving Concert

The concert began with a group of contestants playing the national anthem. After that, President Lauro Valério, Associação dos Acordeonistas do Brasil invited the President of the Jury Mirco Patarini to say a few words to the audience.	Harley Jones was then invited to the stage to make a speech about the music and announce the invitation by the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes - IMC - UNESCO to the Associação dos Acordeonistas do Brasil to apply for CIA membership.

Mirco Patarini took the stage and showed why he is very popular in Brazil. Mirco played a difficult but entertaining program with lots of expression and real fire which the audience loved with long applause.	Mirco enjoying all the applause at the end of the first half of the concert.

Paolo Gandolfi (Italy) has made 11 concert tours to Brazil and the audience enjoyed his program very much.	Here Paolo is enjoying the long applause..
All the jury were given very nice polished metal placques and the winning competitors all received nice awards commemorating their success too. Here, Harley Jones is present his jury placque.	The winner, Bruno Moritz Neto, was presented his first prize being a Scandalli accordion from the Scandalli Accordion Factory and the Brazil distributors.

The winner Bruno Moritz Neto, thrilled the audience with a powerful performance of a South American traditional Milonga Gaucha.	The audience loved it as did the officials on stage - Angelo Sanzovo, Lauro Valério and evening compere Antonio Marcos Orselli. A great way to end the official event.
